I've got both the "USB DEVICE" (in the Pro VSH Menu, seen when you press Select) and the Pro Recovery Menu -> Configuration -> XMB USB Device set to "Flash0". I've tried connecting using USB both from the main PSP menu and from the Recovery Menu. The PSP's memory, when connected to the Mac using USB, isn't locked, and I can lock and unlock the files freely - the Mac just continues to see them as locked even if I unlock them. Does the 0x06020010 refer to 6.20? Should it be changed? Yours would "really" be 5.50 if this supposition is true.) Incidentally, some of the numbers are a little different in my real file has 6.20 and 620 I'm trying to paste in the one with 6.60 and 660. When I try to open version.txt and edit it, the Mac tells me that it "could not be saved" even if I unlock the file in its "Get Info" window. Xomtor, this is some fantastic advice - I never would have been able to figure out how to get into the flash0 and then figure out which file to edit! Now connect to your PS3 and you should be able to transfer. IMPORTANT: be sure to open your VSH menu again and switch "USB device" back to memory stick Now save and close the file and disconnect your PSP I've bolded them above to show the locations you'll see a file labelled as version.txt which you'll need to edit, make it look like this:īasically, there's 4 instances where your file will probably show 6.20/620 that needs to be switched to 6.60/660. Now connect your PSP to your Mac and navigate to the root:\vsh\etc folder on your PSP Bring up the VSH menu on your PSP and switch the "USB device" option to Flash0 Fear not, you can fool it into thinking you're on 6.60 by changing your version.txt file. The most up to date PSP firmware is 6.60 and since you're on 6.20, the PS3 will complain. PS Store-on-CFW veterans, help me out! What do I do? I don't want to feel like a chump, having paid for software that I can't use! Play your PSP games in HD PPSSPP can run your PSP games on your PC or Android phone in full HD resolution or even higher. This is frustrating because I've never had any problems running my ripped VC2 UMD on either 5.50 (which I had for a very long time) or 6.20 CFW. I then tried to grab them using my computer, with the PSP connected to it by USB, and it gave me another error. So I connected my PSP to the PS3 and tried to transfer VC2 and the dozen or so DLC items - the P3 refused to move them, saying that I needed to do a firmware update. I've never double-dipped and paid twice for the same product, but (1) buying the DLC separately would probably cost that much, and (2) I'm getting a Vita and thought I'd make that my first digital purchase. I ask because after reading a thread about essential PSP games (I can't find it now sorry), someone posted some usefil info: Valkyria Chronicles 2 plus all its DLC was available on the PS Store for $22.99! Follow-up to sca2511's question: is OFW 6.60 what new games require these days? I too used 5.50 GEN for a long time before recently moving to 6.20 PRO.
